HappyPupGuide publishes practical guides on puppy training, dog nutrition, health care, and fun activities. This page explains how our content is researched, checked, and kept up to date.
Who writes our content
Our content is written and published by the HappyPupGuide editorial team under the HappyPupGuide brand. We do not use a fake author persona, and we do not claim veterinary or other professional credentials we do not hold. When we quote or cite an expert source, we name it.
How we research
We start from the questions real dog owners ask โ about feeding, training, behaviour, grooming, and everyday health. For each article, we review authoritative, publicly available guidance before writing, including resources from the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Kennel Club (AKC). Where a topic involves health or safety, we check the claim against at least one such authoritative source before publishing.
Fact-checking
Before publication, each article is reviewed by an editor for accuracy, clarity, and consistency with its cited sources. Health and safety claims get extra scrutiny: if we cannot verify a claim against a trustworthy source, we do not publish it as fact. We do not publish sponsored content presented as editorial content, and this site currently carries no affiliate links.
Updating and corrections
Dog-care guidance changes over time, so we review published articles periodically and update them when the underlying guidance changes or when we find an error. Updated articles show an updated date. If you spot a mistake, please tell us via our contact page and we will check it and correct it promptly.
What our content is โ and is not
Our content is educational only. It is not veterinary advice, and it does not replace an examination or diagnosis by a qualified veterinarian. See our Disclaimer and Terms of Use for the full picture.
